Minnesota's home for students ready to lead and thrive.

The 'Sota Project is where students come to challenge attacks on our futures and build a Minnesota where Gen Z can lead. We are building large-scale organizing and digital programming to reach and mobilize students across the state.

2026
A crucial year to shape a government that works for young people
Why this year matters

The outcome of Minnesota's elections this year will be critical.

Young Minnesotans have the opportunity to elect leaders who will be instrumental in reshaping a government that works for young people. With over 90 colleges and universities in Minnesota and hundreds of thousands of student voters, Gen Z has the numbers and the power to determine the outcomes of these elections.

We're building a scrappy, innovative operation to protect and expand democracy by elevating youth leadership across Minnesota: inspiring thousands of college students to take control of their futures, get organized, and vote.

How we organize

Empowering students to lead in their communities.

The 'Sota Project meets students where they are, on campuses across the state, with four core efforts driving everything we do.

1

Voter registration

Getting students registered and ready to make their voices count, right where they study and live.

2

Education

Helping students understand what's on the ballot and why their vote shapes the future they'll inherit.

3

Peer-to-peer outreach

Students talking to students. The most trusted, most effective way to move a campus to action.

4

Turnout

Turning energy into ballots cast, with turnout efforts that reach students on campuses statewide.

This is a crucial year for Minnesota. Get in on it.

Whether you want to organize your campus, lend your skills, or just stay in the loop, there's a place for you in the 'Sota Project. Sign up and we'll be in touch.
